ABOUT US
Vereeniging Steel and Pipe is a homegrown business with humble beginnings,
established in 1993 through the private ownership our father Mohamed Rashid (Chommy) Ally,
a respected and trusted businessman.
After his sudden passing in 1994, the family stepped in to continue his business vision
through the then humble 80 square meter store,situated in the business hub of Vereeniging.
With 1994 marking a historic transition for South Africa, our business mirrored these new values of empowerment,
diversity and progress by entrusting a female of a previously disadvantaged background as a business leader.
The dedication and commitment of Zayboon Ally juxtaposed with the new age vision and energy of her son,
Ismail steadily grew the business into a vibrant larger scale leading steel and hardware merchant in the Vaal.
Within a competitive market, we never compromise on strong business ethics,
quality products, client relations and social responsibility.
We are a level 1 BBBEE contributor through our employment of staff members
from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.

Given that this business was founded on family values and dedication over decades,
